seems about right.......stock LS6's with tunes can get to nearly 400, so the cam and headers should definitely get you to 440.

I've heard that before and I'm curious how they get that much out of a stock LS6? Is that with race fuel and no catback? How do the T1 guys get so much power out of a stock LS6? I'm at 380 rwhp with longtubes and no cats on 91 octane and that seems about typical around here. Or maybe it's just the variance between dynos?

Oh and 440 rwhp with a cam/heads sounds great!

Thanks for the replies. Actually, with previous configuration (no AFR heads and LG cam) I got 387HP and 373T (everything else listed).

I got to tell you, that first 50HP was a heck of a lot cheaper than the last 50HP!!!!!!

100 octane, no cats/mufflers, stock airbridge w/K&N, stock T/B, stock exhaust manifolds..........389hp 381tq

And now they gave me longtubes to hang on there. Expecting another 12-15 hp if we are lucky.

OK, that makes sense . I was thinking the 100 octane might be a big part of it. You guys should do well with 400 rwhp and only 3180 lbs!

My 01Z has similiar mods, but without the AFR's, injectors and it got 425rwhp, so that is pretty good.

I'd love to see some of these spark tables w/ 100 octane

the peak hp numbers don't impress me as much as the torque, 381. wow.

If you have EFI Live I can send you a tune and you can look it over. Our car made 385/378 with a 2 year old LS6.

I had no idea the LS6 could make that much power with so few mods.

Not to hijack the thread but here is the dyno graph of our T1 car, 2 year old LS6. This is 100 octane, stock air cleaner, paper filter, stock manifolds, no cats or mufflers pretty much 3" all the way back.

I was pretty suprised too, considering on your typical street car you need long tubes and a cold air intake to get these kind of numbers.
We'll have to see what long tubes does to the numbers.

By the way those are some great numbers with the head and cam especially the torque numbers. The hp numbers are on par with a stock C6Z.

Man hate to say but for that big cam and kick **** heads with compression and other bolt on's ....only 440 Rwhp and what happend to torque ? seems lik you got only 10-20 Rwhp with just addition of 2k bucks heads. As with cam only G5x3 a Z06 got 425 Rwhp and more ......but 440 Rwhp is nice though. Whats power/torque at 3k rpm?

Actually, your addition is a little off for my car. The Head/Cam gave me another 53HP from the previous 387 and the torque went up only 20. Comparing my car to another's cam only doesn't reflect true improvement. However, had I gone with more compression, drop the cat back titanium I could probably squeeze out more HP. But, then again, there is that engine block in the shop that lies in little bitty pieces because the bottom of the rods came loose with the almost 500HP.

To answer your question of 3K RPM - 305T/175HP, at 4K RPM - 370T/285HP, at 5K RPM - 393T/375HP, at 6K RPM - 380T/430HP, last good reading was at 6.5K RPM 355T/440HP. Torque started dropping below 350 at around 6.7K but HP continued flat line at 440.

Of course I run an L98, but I am not sued to seeing HP higher than Torque.

VIR w/10/10ths 3/15/10
