Do you use a full containment seat?
I would prefer Sparco ADV, OMP HPT, or Racetech 4009HR, but I don't know if they will fit in a C5 Z06. The head restraint may hit the cage above the door depending on mounting. Have any of you guys mounted one of these or any thing similar. Any feedback would be helpful. I don't want to go with a metal seat if I can find an alternative.

recaro hans on pfadt sliders. some clearance issues with window glass if it's moved all the way back at about ear level.
i do not have a full cage, but I think there would be a way to make it work with one, especially if you don't need sliders.

any recaro distributor should be able to get it. i bought mine used, came out of Porsche CUP racecar.
i have to clarify that mine is "regular", not XL size, XL is about 2 inches wider and would likely have some clearance issues with stock 3pt belt system still in place

I'm full caged C5 T1 running custom made ultrashield road race super seat full containment. It fits. It is tight and NASCAR bars help to be able to get the seat in and out and to get you in and out.
There are many good reasons to go with plastic and many good reasons to go with metal. Do you have reasons to go with plastic?
A real FC seat is very hard to see out of are you ready for that?
Any rollcage in a C5 and your head tube will be part of your head containment. A good compromise is a traditional seat with left and right sidenets (not windownet).

Melting Slicks
Also look at the Cobra Sebring Pro/GT and Evolution
and I think LG makes some too...but I can't comment on how they feel. The Sebring Pro GT Technology will be going in my T1 car this year though to replace my Suzuka.

I'm a little more than 5' 11".
My Cobra Suzuka is on Hardbar mount as low as possible and my Helmet still hits the cage if I tip my head left.
The Racetech is 1300 to 1500. The Sparco ADV is 849. The Cobra Sebring is 949.

I think I'm gonna go with Cobra Sebring Pro. I saw one in a T1 C6 Z06 and it appears that the halo slants down slightly to allow periferal vision. It has almost the same fit as my Suzuka. It's kevlar, so it's strong and light but cheaper than CF. Thanks again for the feedback.
