Nice job Bob. Is it just me or does that T1 time seem a little off?

New motor makes a difference, eh Bob?

The T1 time may very well be off; why push it though when there is only one car in the class?

David...
Yup ....new"old" Katech motor. We switched it out last week. Its the sister motor to what was in the car. Both motors were built in 2004......but I raced the on in the car for 40 race weekends and never freshened it. It was way down on hp. It was nice to have some power back in the car....it was a rocket!!! I'd like a "do over" of Homestead and Sebring. And for the record>>> KATECH builds one hell of an engine!!!!!
Bosco....now maybe I'll be able to stay ahead of those 800HP SPO cars when I race w/the V8 Stockcars this year.

The T1 guy was new to the track, and like David said if you're the only car ...why push it? Phil Croyle holds the record at 1:15.233...track records:

Thanks for the pictures. No offense to you, Bob, or anyone else for that matter; but Jerry's black and white C6 looks so good. Very tasteful graphics.

Hey Bob, Doug Wilson stepped up his BMW effort over the winter and he was quick at Sebring and PBIR, but after seeing those times..........he might just have to have a V8.

But David.....you mean you like the Hawk sponsorship logo better than my Jax Beach Cigars sponsors logo. I'm pretty sure you can't get more "tasteful" than this:

Jerry has one of the coolest looking cars in STO right now!

Bob, you need to post this info on the SCCAforums site (both STO and Touring) so people "over there" know what's happening.

Looking at the Viper pic........is that an exhaust pipe hanging out by the left rear? Seems to be out there a 'bit'.......I know I would end up frying an ankle eventually..........LOL

It appears to be a turn-down to direcy exhaust noise away from the sensors. That would not be legal in STO if someone looked at it; I beleive the rule is protruding 1/2" is max.

FINAL RESULTS>>>>>>>>>>>>>

STO:
1. Bob Mayer 1.13.239 (new track record)
2. Russ Snow 1.14.057
3.Jerry Onks 1.15.241
4. Tom Wilson 1.16.782
5. Ed Lewis 1.17.506

T1:
1. Ron Landis 1.23.866

Next National race: Road Atlanta in 2 weeks.
All the usual suspects mayer/Onks/Lewis/Snow/Wilson plus Brooks (corvette) will be there and a new player in a car that many think will be a rocket:

58 Moses, CJ Group 6 1991 Mitsubishi GVR4 AMS Performance.com Gainesville, VA

STO is alive and growing in the South.

The track was really, really fast this weekend. We took 2 seconds off of the lap record and could have done a 1:02 if we had pushed really hard.
