Safety Car
I heard Mark broke the TTA record getting into the 1:33's
And to think, if he hadn't ridden in my 01 back in the panoz days, he would still be driving a Taurus! I'm not giving any more rides!

I can post quick because I don't have a 3 hr ride home
Jason's 33.1 is still safe, however, I am very pleased at the changes to the car to manage a 33.6 on OLD 275 A6's today. I did 33.5 on sticker 295 A6's in Dec, with probably slightly better conditions. I think a 32.xx is possible, even on the 275s. I tried a few new things driver-wise to, in a few corners.
Most recent improvements: (from dec to now)
Pfadt poly bushings (only had time this past week to do the rears). I think they are probably the best non metallic bushing option (free class mod).
I dropped 5 lbs per rear corner going to AFX's 2 pc rear rotors.
And Gary's (Hardbar) delrin shock bushings. The rear grip off the corners felt like sticker tires. In the rear, I think the combo of the less unsprung weight (5 lbs is a lot), and those bushing really really help the shock drive the tires into the pavement. There is a noticable difference in the car.
We had some good fun TT sessions though, with nearly 50 cars in the field, it was a traffic palooza. Jason scott me and jeff had some fun laps, nose to tail, door to door, jason going in spots you couldn't have gotten a mini to fit
Scott gets the two 360's and didn't hit anything award. I think I saw a pair of soiled undies in the trash can near our pits

He's very depressed. Physically no problems which I'm grateful for.
Really ticked off at myself for having such a costly lack of knowledge. I've always trained myself that an off is a better option than a panic brake/steer back in that most likely will lead to a spin. What I didn't realize is that on wet days, even when the track is getting dry, the grass will be like sliding on ice. Offs, are just not an option in those conditions. When I went off, I thought it was a polite off. Then I slid from the out at 6 all the way to the wall past 7 with very little slow down due to the slippery grass.

I think the record is the length of the spin. From the top of the hill out of 5 all the way down almost to the brake zone in 6. That's what - like an 1/8 of a mile?
The other award I picked up was not getting in a fist fight after that last session today.

Anyword on my Ohio neighbor Mike E. in his John Deer Green racer? He is a fast shoe and will be one to watch.
Glad you all had a good time! Wish I could have gone, I love that track.

Track is so much fun. Weather could have been much better but I only lost one session because of it. I think I got down to around a 1:48 today which seemed to be a comfortable pace since I didn't want to push too hard. Might try to get into DE3 or do TT next time.

it gets busy TT'ing and instructing for watching the W2W stuff, but mike got his john deer stuck in the wet grass in 10b during one of the early sessions (maybe the 1st on saturday?) His back tires were 6 inches from the pavement but he needed some ATV tires

Both Mike and James slid off track in Sat. rain race and came in.
Sunday in qualifing Mike lost his clutch and he and James left for VIR before the race started. Both cars were super fast all weekend. Mike ran an 1:29 something in TT

Feel for ya. It looked painful.
My partner said they would recognize it if it was his car by the vomit on the driver's floor!! Tough.
