Default Best dedicated autocross shocks for 03ZO6?

I have a 2003 ZO6 that ALL I care about is making it the best SS class autocrosser. No consideration about making it a daily driver. What should I get? Thanks in advance.

Some of the fastest Corvettes have Penskes, but there are some Corvettes and fast cars in every class on basic Koni singles. Strano has won the overall PAX at Nats on them.

I'm leaning towards Koni 3013's. I see 04 OEM shocks seem to make people happy. There's Pfat's and Penskis etc. I came from a very avg CSP Miata to this car and would love to make it transition like my miata. 700/450 springs w/ Bleistens. The TQ of this ZO6 is just amazing. But I am not sure if I can get it to handle like a miata in SS. That is my goal.

I just spent 6 months researching your exact question. As I type my Koni 3013s (SA) are half way on the car and 295/315 Hoosier A6s are being mounted on the stock wheels.

The Koni rep told me that this shock is valved for autocross, and it is designed for a car lowered as much as 1".

Penske or Koni DAs are probably a bit better if you can learn to tune them (and that's a big if), but I don't think they are required to win, even at the National level, and they are at least 3X the cost.

Good Luck

I don't think the pfadt shocks are doing well on any national level Corvettes (at least on the East Coast, the cars I know about). One yellow c6 I know that had them dumped them last year because he didn't like them.

Most (all)of top guys use penskes da................... they are expensive, but you said you wanted the best. Those shocks cost more than my DD pickup.

Yes, I should have qualified that a wee bit better. I should have said under $3K or so. I would imagine the difference between konis and penskes could be very well spent on tires and seat time. Thanks for everyones input. I was basically confirming what I was told would be best bang for the money shock and that seems to be Koni sports. I went down several paths on my miata and still didn't get it quite right but building a nationally competitive CSP miata seems like a huge exercise in spending money. I think I'm going to real like the ZO6!

Highest placing SS vette at 2008 Nats was on Koni 3013.
