Default [Help] Electronic Brake Controller Inoperative

I'm about to tow my Z06 to Cincinnati and I found out that the continuity light on the (electric) brake controller would not turn on when the trailer is connected electrically. The brake controller worked just fine with the trailer beforehand.

Turn/signal/parking/deck lights on the trailer work properly. Is the controller faulty ?

Sorry, I'm not very good with electricity.

I had a fuse go out on mine last summer. It was in the back of the controller.

Didn't think there was a fuse on the controller itself. I checked the fuses on the truck and they were all ok. Controller fuse next.

My controller is pretty old, so maybe the newer ones don't have it.

I didn't see any access panel on it; I'm going to have to wait until I can get home and take it apart.

Clean both the truck and trailer connectors.

I did spray some lithium grease in an attempt to fend off corrosion. Could it be the culprit ?

I've had something similar happen before. It was a basic controller, either reese or draw tite (same controller). Bench tested it to confirm. Sent it back to the mfg. and they replaced it free.
