Default Which Coilovers for Auto-X? Pfadt or LG?

I am getting ready to bite the bullet and buy some coilovers for my C5 coupe. I do a ton of autocross and a ton of street driving. The two coilovers I am considering are the Pfadt and LG ones. Any opinions one way or the other? Anyone that has actually used both so can give an EDUCATED opinion?

I should clarify - I am considering the LG ADJUSTABLE coilovers since this is both a street and autocross car.

The access to the adjustable controls on the LG's is much easier than the Pfadt's. You would also have to drill holes through the floor of your trunk for access.

Pfadt never came out with their featherweight system, so LG's seem to be the best fit for your usage.

Hmmm, never heard that before. I thought when you have it up in the air with the tires off, they were easy to adjust?

Have you considered class impact going to coilovers? I don't know all of the groups that you run with, but coils move you to Street Mod, where lots of well sorted, very fast cars/drivers hang out.

Haven't much experience with either, so I don't have a recommendation on which to go with, both seem to have had some success.

Well, the new cammed LS3, 3.73 gears, headers, etc will probably adjust my class a little anyways

The adjusters for the Pfadt sit on top of the shock towers, whereas LG's in the front are below the upper frame mount and the rears hang down below the upper frame mount via an extension cable.

The LG's have much easier access than the Pfadts. They also seem to have better mounts. A lot of guys have noise issue created by loose front mounts. I know I did. Ended up adding washers so that I could cinch down the upper mounting bolt to compress the bushing so that I would have good compression on the upper front bushing.

Toque did a nice write-up on the install of the LG's.

FWIW, I have the DRM coilovers and daily drive. Haven't had it to an autocross yet, but they work great on the road course. For daily driving you might think about spring rates more than shock valving...

Due to sponsorship issues, I am looking between the Pfadt and LG systems.

Since the GT2's are so new, most of our class racers are going to have the G2's on the car. I know there are some that have GT2's on the way and will have them on the track this year.

There are plenty of HPDE guys using both sets. Jason has actually ran both sets on his car now and has a good write up. Toque has done a beautiful job on his write up of the install.
