Default Our Next Road Race Project, tube frame 2010 Camaro

When the C6 Vette is finished our next project will be a tube frame 2010 Camaro.

We picked up a HOWE GTA type chassis that once belonged to GRAND AM for next to nothing. This chassis was going to be the prototype for
their LR (road race stock car class) that was stillborn.

The car will most likely get the new ARP 2010 Camaro stock car body that has been built for the ASA series. They also make a 2010
Mustang.

Power will be a 23 degree, alum head 326 ci small block chevy that makes about 530 flywheel HP. (We already have this motor, so gotta put it in something)

Tranny will be a road race geared Jerico 4 speed.

Probably a TIGER quick change rear end and 3 link coilover
setup with a WATTS link, Penske shocks.
5x5 HOWE hubs, SWEET rack and HOWE upper and lower control arms

Brakes will most likely be BREMBO's off a Nascar cup car.

Before trying a wing, I think we will try an 8" spoiler combined
with a cup COT splitter.

Weight should be about 2550 without driver.

Wheels will be 20# Basset 15x10 steel
Tires most likely HOOSIER 3035's at $600 per set mounted

Should make for a quick, reliable package at a very affordable number.

race it initially, maybe rent it. Woody could build others for customers.

Would be an excellent platform for an LS motor and then weight would
only be about 2450 dry, minus driver.
