Autocrossing -Kumho 710's pressures
After using Hoosiers for the last few years, I got some V710's for my C-4 and want to get a starting point for tire pressures. Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure you get some camber in that car if not already. I have mine at 2.5 front and 1.5 rear.
Tell us a little more about your car mods, this place is filled with knowledgable people to help you out if needed.

For autocross I would set them around 30 Front and 28 Rear. Just don't want to see them over 40 HOT. In my C4 racer that is what always worked for me and other local guys I know. Lets see what others are doing as they should chime in.

I ran V710s on my C4 last season and they definitely liked more pressure than the Hoosiers. Somewhere around 34-36 hot seemed to do the best for me.

I agree with the statement that kumhos like more air. My results were in a c5 z06, so sizes and weight differ from the c4, but my car ran great at 34-35 psi cold in cooler weather. In warmer weather, started at 32-33 psi or so cold. By the end of a run, they'd move a few psi, but really stuck. Take this fwiw!!!

V710s have really stiff sidewalls. I know they made it harder to get the tire installed on the wheel. Last time I used them, I played with different pressures and eventually ended up in the low 20's.
Here are what others are running:

I usually ran 28/24 or 28/23 on 275/40/17 and 315/35/18 setups. I ran a couple events last year on 305/30/18 and 315/35/18 at 28/24 on OEM rear z06 wheels. 01z with ARH headers/intake/tune.

I appreciate the input. At this past weekend's event, started out cold 30/28 F/R and slip slided around on the first runs. Ran 8 back to back 1 minute laps with 3-4 minutes between and about half way through started hooking up.
From my first impressions, I need to do two things,
Get a tire pyrometer and start at a lower pressure.
any more input is appreciated.
