Default * * * Economical GPS Lap Timer Review * * *

I bought a PZRacing GPS Lap Timer and am thrilled with the results. I paid $250 for the unit and it works great. No regrets whatsoever. Designed for bikes but worked flawlessly in the car.

They are on that auction site for more money than I paid. Drop me a note if you'd like the contact info of the seller as he isn't a forum sponsor.

I went with the wired unit instead of the battery powered one. Put an old cigarette lighter adapter I had laying around on it to power the unit.

All I wanted was something to provide lap times as opposed to the data acquisition and download capabilities provided by Traqmate and the other much more expensive units.

looks like a nice unit if you do not need all the features for sure.

As stated in my post I bought one for $250 from an authorized US seller. Contact info is available if interested.

Can you send me the info also. Do you know if your seller also sells their little speedometer readout? Thanks

How hard is it to see? Through a tinted visor?

Looks almost impossible to see in plain view. LCD's are very dim in bright light and this looks very small to start with.

Maybe a video of it in action?

Very legible. If you can read your climate control display you can read the timer. I don't have a tinted visor but wear sunglasses and can read with a quick glance.

I don't understand your comment. The unit is very legible. I hope you realize the unit is not turned on in the pic? Small size does not cause any issues for me and I have 49 year old eyes..... I see it as a bonus as it's easier to put in a place you can see. Plenty bright.

I have 63 year old eyes and even I could tell that is is not on. Any chance you have a quick video of it working or a picture of it "illuminated"?

OT, hey Rick are you going to be at the June 5th HST? I think I'll come over for that one as I'll miss May with my son's High School graduation.

I just bought one and will report when I get to use it. I have a C4 track car and plan to mount it where the A/C controls were. Will get a pic when done. Bought from the same source as Rick. Fast shipping and good communication.
