Despite the fact that my personal best was beaten (badly) by a Yaris, that was a really fun course. Steve your Awsome congrats on your podium finish.

Me too! Was thinking the same thing. I would love to have high speed momentum courses like that. My last course had 3 Chicago boxes!

Great run Steve....So, that is what it should have looked like

Here is what it looks like on street tires....80.4 sec. Unfortunately My camera ran out of memory as I was entering the last corner.

What street tires I want some. I was on Khumo ECSTA SPT's and turned a best of 93.+ George Schilling turned a relaxed 84 and Tom Berry turned I believe it was an 81.4 (rear tires were over inflated at 36lbs) Now I admit I am a C4 with 175/40/17's front and rear so you have tire size advantage but I could live with 80 seconds on that course with street tires.

Great run, very smooth.

Thanks. I am running the Nitto Nt-05 which is a big improvement over the GYs...But, I believe that you can get something stickier in you size. For my car there are not many choices.

What color is your car? It looks great in the sun.

GM calls it both Luxo Blue or Le Mans Blue depending on the year. Same paint code however.

Thanks. Don't feel bad, that Yaris is supercharged. That coarse was one of the hardest ones I've seen in awhile. Keep coming out and in no time you will be much faster.

Hey Charley,

It's time to setup to race tires. Your run looks great.

Nice driving Steve! It was nice meeting and running against you this weekend. Hopefully I can make some more LA events and have something for you with a little more seat time in the Z.

Can't answer the camera question for him, but we were running at the former El Toro Marine Corp Air Station, Irvine California. The retired runways make a great track. If the site looks familiar Road & Track and Car & Driver have been using it a lot for photo shoots.

Appreciate the kind words. My plan is to keep coming out. I was signed up very early for the practice on Saturday, didn't make the list checked Thursday afternoon wasn't on it so I signed my dogs up to get some bites at protection training. Turns out last minute I was moved up. Would have loved to run it in the other direction.

I am currently signed up for the evo school, and Pro Solo, however I am also on the back up list as a staff photo for LBGP. Not sure which one I will be at as of this writing.

Will try to make the early and late may runs as well. I live in Mission Viejo so El Toro is my home track.

Thanks again.

2 Panasonic ZR1 camera's. Some fancy editing to get them sync up.

P.S. 1st post.
You and Sean made my day. Thanks for coming out. I can't make every event, because of conflict dates with PCA autocross.
See you at the track.

Steve
