Default Sound Test with Corsa LT1 System

Anyone out there done any sound tests with the Corsa LT1 sytem? I'm currently running it with LT Headers and no Cats and I think I'd fail most sound tests around here (96-100db).

Just wondered if anyone has had theirs tested and if so what was the results?

Also will adding Cats (Random-tech or similar) take much off of the volume?

I can't upload a sound track at this time but I have the randoms with corsa and headers. The sound is very civilized inside my '96 with no droning irritation. However, if one opens throttle spiritedly, the effect at the rear is very detectable. Not like open exhaust but fairly throaty. I like it, but then I don't have to pass any restrictive sound tests. For the money and durability, the corsas are brilliant!

What are the measurement parameters? How far away are you being tested?

Our car with the exhaust design (long tube headers, 3 inch tubes to moroso spiral flow mufflers, put straight out the back ending at the rear differential) measured between 98 and 99 dB, and it's pretty loud and obnoxious. The measurement was at 50 ft for a "stock" LT4 with a tune, no emission stuff, no AC stuff, and whatever engine work is allowed by our rule set.

I can't imagine that an LT1 with a corsa exhaust would be any louder.

Measurement is at .5 of a meter away from the tip and at a 45 degree angle.

I've just added some Moroso Sprial Flow silencers right after the headers but I'm not that impressed with them... wasn't as dramatic a change as I was expecting.

I did some tests today and come back at 110db @ 4500rpm @ .5meter distance, 45degree angle.

Going to give up on the Corsa - just not going to happen.
