GM Names Clinical Psychologist to Board of Directors
I think GM's future is in good shape now!
DETROIT -- General Motors Co. has named clinical psychologist Cynthia Telles as a director, giving the automaker a 13-member board.
Telles, 57, is on the faculty at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she leads a psychosocial clinic for Spanish speakers. She previously served on the board of railway company Burlington Northern Santa Fe Co. with GM CEO Ed Whitacre.
GM has had an even 12 directors on its board since it lost Fritz Henderson in December, GM spokeswoman Noreen Pratscher said. Henderson was ousted as CEO. Whitacre chairs the board. Patricia Russo, former CEO of French communications company Alcatel-Lucent, serves as lead independent director.
Some of the board members have worked with Telles, Pratscher said, although the spokeswoman could not immediately name those directors.
Telles serves on two other boards: Americas United Bank, California's largest Hispanic-owned bank; and Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and Hospitals, whose Kaiser Permanente is the largest nonprofit health plan in the United States. She also previously sat on the board of Sanwa Bank California.

Coalition of Hispanic Health and Human Service Organizations in
Washington, D.C.

was vice president of the Los Angeles Board of Library Commissioners,

Families, and served on the board of Sanwa Bank of California for eight
years.

Northhampton, Mass., and her doctorate degree in clinical psychology
from Boston University. She has published extensively in the area of
mental health, particularly with respect to the assessment and
treatment of Hispanic populations.

We need to eliminate medical coverage so we can compete and just drop dead like people in China do if they are not super rich.
Japan with gov eating health-care, then manipulating their currency for years in their favor and you wonder why the auto industry is in trouble here? People pile it all on the unions. Some blame but far from most, With approximately 30 man hr. to make a car on average it can't be all the workers fault.

That's funny but the way things are going you're (sadly) probably right. The fact that I have to push a button to speak English in America totally p!sses me off (amongst a lot of other things lately). I complain to any business or government office that does this. Evidently, there were enough complaints about this where I live one County governmental office changed this absurd practice.
