More power to her. I think that 14 is too young even with karting or other experience.

Why is 14 too young? Jeff gordon was in a sprint car at 13.

If they get killed or injured were they mature enough to know the consequence of what they are doing? Just my thought. Can you take a 14 year old sky diving? I have no clue.

14 to get a NASCAR license, but the article says other series will let you drive at 12. I'd rather see them race at sanctioned events, instead of some unsanctioned run what you brung deal.

Or on the street!

I think it will ultimatly help them. It gets them valuable driving experience that will also help when they get their regualr drivers liscense and start driving on the street.

Maybee if they start developing a little earlier, we might see better racing and not so many accidents because of stupid driving!

The series they let these kids run in are probably safer than any kart series they'd run in. We're not talking any of the national series here, just regionals (AFAIK).
