Default ? for c5z guys with (4) 18x10.5" ...

what size tire you running on the track? I have a few leads on used R888's. was looking for 315/30's but wondering if they'll fit in the front without rubbing. can also find 305/35's...any good/bad experiences?

I am running 300 dunlop slicks and also 305 pirelli slicks (square set ups). I'm pretty positive Ive heard guys running a 315 square set up but those cars wont be lowered much. My tires sit right at the fender lip and tuck in just a little due to the camber. There are also some sign of rubbing on the inner fender but nothing I'm too concerned about.

i just installed 10.5" rear Z06 wheels on the front of my 01 z06. running R888 265/35 up front with 305/30 in the rear. this combo doesn't set AH off at all on the street, but I do get a slight rub on my brake cooling ducts @ full lock. The fronts stick out just a touch, but I could probably fix that with a little more neg camber. haven't used them at the track yet, first event with the new setup is this thursday-friday @ NJMP.

I currently have stock 295/35's at all 4 and have not had any TC or AH problems.

I run Nitto NT05's with 285/35 front and 295/35 rear, no issue electronically, slight rub on the front rear splash shield under slight compression with the wheel turned inward. I'll probably do a 275/35 next time to get a little less tire height.

I'm running 315x18's on all corners as well. Tire rub on the inner fender well at full lock, but that only happens in the paddock area. Nothing to be concerned about.

Currently I have OEM C5Z rear wheels all around on my car. I'm using Hoosier 315/18's all around too. I haven't had any issues yet.

It may be worth mentioning, my ride height isn't much lower than factory. This may play into not having any issues.

305/18 Hoosiers all the way around, no issues... just lots of grip!

I'm surprised so many people are running larger tires than I am on 18x10.5 fronts. Am I the only guy that experiences rubbing on the DRM brake ducts? Or are lots of people running without brake ducts? Maybe for track only cars, people with wide tires have brake ducts but avoid turning too sharp when pitting or turning at slow speeds.

I use 285x30 or 35(depending on which brand tires I'm using) fronts. I get a little rub at close to full lock. I don't want to go any bigger than that because of the rubbing since my car does street and track duty. 305 or 315 rears, again depending on which brand of tires I'm running.

I'm planning on running 265s all around on 10.5s to stay in NASA TTB class (to get the widest section width out of the narrow tires and using the rest of my points on shocks and springs).
I was considering the TSW Nurburgrings - but the Z06s all around might be cheaper. Good to hear no AH issues - anything else to worry about re: fitment? I know the brake ducting will be an issue as DRM says the ducting clearance is good only to 10" wide wheels in front.

Thanks.

you're not the only one. as I posted above, I'm getting a slight rub @ full lock on my DRM ducts with a measly 265/35. I am at stock ride height with stock suspension. I can't imagine what the guys running 300+ section width hoosiers are seeing

I have DRM ducts, I run Hoosier 275s on the 10.5, and they rub. I don't run wheel spacers, lower arm is pulled out as far as it'll go.

I run 305/35's R888's and they rub a little because of how low the car is. I'm sure I could easily fit 315/30's and be just fine. I run 315/30 R6's and V710's with no problems.

I also have DRM ducts and have no rubbing issues with them. The only real issue i have is the wheel rubbing on the A arm at close to full lock.

I have had 315/35/18 V710's on the front of mine with some rubbing, car is lowered a touch less than max on stock bolts. Inner fender well rubbing mostly, but it touched down just inside the outer lip as well with about -2* camber.

305/30's were better, running 295/30 A6's here in the near future. No brake ducts, and this is autocross use. Have single Penske's on the car at 3-4 clicks short of full hard front.
