Default Sound Restrictions at VIR? Problem?

Anyone know if a C6 Z06 (modded) with headers, gutted cats and racing bullet mufflers will have any noise level issues running at VIR? Thinking specifically about the NCM event there in late June. Thanks.

IIRC the only time noise is a problem is on Sunday quiet hours.

I don't think you'll have a problem - however it is up to you to review any rules that the NCM posts on thier site for the event.

Don't know if NCM has an issue but VIR doesn't. I just came back last weekend after running my 7L LS2 E36 with headers, straight through exhaust and a single Flowmaster Series Ten, 4" outlet "muffler."

There isn't much out there for the noise to really bother except the Sunday quiet hour as mentioned.

I think I read recently that VIR was not going to enforce any sound limits, but I need to verify that. Will check into it. As indicated above, you are still responsible for any rules defined by the organization you are participating with at any site.

I dont have an issue. So no worries there.

VIR, to my understanding, does not man the sound station during HPDEs.

Only during SCCA races is the sound station manned.

and since we run on Monday and Tuesday, there is no quite hour for local churches.

When the VIR sound station is maned, it is on the back straight left side, part way up the hill past the south paddock pit out.

If you have any other tech questions about the NCM event please send my a PM or email

Thanks

And they do it for informational purposes only. During the last SCCA double national there they were not enforcing sound and it was published in the supps.
