Default Dumb question about how to bolt your sparco seat to the floor.

So I decided I didn't want to use a slider.

I've read that many of you have bolted your seat to the floor. So I got about four peices of aluminum (for backing) and then tried measuring and drilling holes.

Apparantly I'm not too hot at the measuring.:o Seems like I'm having one heck of a time getting the holes to line up.

The seat barely fits. And before I drill yet another set of holes in my floor board I thought I'd ask if anyone else has done this, and if so, how did you get it backed and the holes matching.

Usng a sparco evo II and a sparco mount.

I have a Sparco Evo II as well. I used the seat kit from PFADT. I think MTI sells these as well. The fit was very tight but the it does match the OEM drilled holes perfectly. I think the Sparco Evo II is just a little too wide for the C5Z, it works, but requires thinking and adjusting. Mine stays in all the time now.

the steel floor reinforcements are nowhere near where they need to be for simply bolting down. You will need to fabricate FIA-style brackets (I use 1/4 aluminum "L") that are quite long in order to span the reinforcement and the seat holes.

If you are having trouble with this, Hardbar or Pfadt might be a good investment

The Pfadt seat mount is under redesign for now. I would suggest a Hardbar setup to get it where you want, because you can put the brackets in the location you need for your seat.

It will get you low on the floor and securely fastened. The holes are already lined up.

I happen to have one in stock. $350

Don't bolt to the floor, that isn't strong enough. Call hoffman.
