Default got some michelin slicks any tips from other users????

Thanks to Daniel at Finspeed for getting these michelins in for me, cant wait to get them mounted on the ccw's and give them a testing. If they hook as good as everyone says they do i am sure i will be impressed!!!

sounds like they like lots of camber for them! reccomended -3.0- 4.0 up front
-2 to -3 in the rear

Those are the same sizes I am considering. Hope I have enough room on the front. My new rims arrive in 2 days; 18X11 front, 18X13 rear. The 30 65 is technically supposed to be on a minimum 11.5" rim, but what's a 1/2 inch among friends....?

Derek,

I suggest you wait until Track Attack so I can break them in for you properly!

Start with cold pressure of 22 and give them a few laps to heat up.

My best advice is to send them up here so I can test them out. You don't want to take too many chances trying out a new tire. You should be lucky there is someone like me willing to try them for you at no cost.

When will you be able to test these for the 1st time - TA, or before? Let me know your impressions please! I am about to pull the trigger on some as well. Or, I guess I could "settle" for some Pirelli slicks like Mike does with the Beast......

better give your tire guy plenty of time, they are a Bitc* to mount on corsairs, in fact they will not even go on one set of mine. Then when it comes to beading them stand back.

the tires are like grease when cold but give them a few laps and they stick like glue.

wow wonder how come they wouldnt fit on the one set of your ccw but would the others?

i know my tire guy has a bead blaster so i told him he is going to put that to good use :-)

he had fun getting my old goodyear slicks off when i used those up. he said the fronts were more difficult then the tall 28 inch rears.

its due to the size of the center of the wheel, tire will barely slide down, the one set is just a few thousands larger and the tire will not clear. You dont need a bead blaster, it is how much pressure it takes to get the bead to set. Goodyear slicks were a breeze compared to these.

you will shoot your eye out kid.
it did take about 100psi, not a good feeling when you are standing there with it.

I liked them but they are just to loose to race on ( only good if everyone is running them ), by the time they warm up to many cars have gone by, I will stick with the A6's.
