Drain Cover Caused Barrichello Crash
A story today on SpeedTV's site states that Barrichello's crash
was due to an unsecured manhole cover
A shame. Mr Barrichello was making a great showing at Monaco.
Was he sanctioned for tossing his steering wheel out onto the course?
On raceday, there was video that showed how moments after he
ejected it, a following car ran over the spot where the wheel lay
and afterward, the s-wheel was no longer visible in the frame.

Stewards Too Busy To Consider Barrichello Penalty
By Staff
SpeedTV 2010.05.19
One of the three stewards on duty in Monaco last weekend has
revealed the officials were too busy to consider giving Rubens
Barrichello a penalty.
Television footage during the race showed the Williams driver
throwing his steering wheel onto the racing line after crashing,
only for it to be collected by HRT's Karun Chandhok.
The steering wheel was then dislodged in the tunnel, only for it
to be run over by the other Hispania car.

Team Owner
I like him and he has had bad luck most of the time but throwing the wheel out in traffic was very bad and could ruin someone else day or injur someone. He should have thrown it to a fan they would have loved it.

Burning Brakes
Mark Webber threw his helmet into the crowd after winning the Spanish Grand Prix. I read a story that Red Bull is asking for the helmet to be returned. Apparently it's worth £10,000!
