Default SCCA/V8 StockCar GTA, ex Target, Reed Sorenson ASA, consider Vette or other trade

Lee Arnold of Naples, Fl is offering his ex Reed Sorenson ASA car

on a 95 degree day!

The car has a low hour ASA spec Lingenfelter LS1, about 400 hp to the wheels.

This is what an ASA chassis looks like, these are VERY safe, were built to run on 1 1/2 mile speedways
at up to 180 mph.

Also; the new 2010 ARP Camaro body goes right on these chassis.

Oh if I weren't a rookie HPDE1 driver and had room for a trailer and tow vehicle in my town house !!! I'd trade my street driven '03 Z06 in a heart beat. That thing is beautiful...

How wide of tires/wheels can one of these have?

Anymore pictures of what the interior and engine bay look like now?

If you run in the GTA class, you have to run the steel 15x10 stock car wheels, (lightweight ones weigh 20#)
the tires are spec Goodyear or Hoosier 27x10x15. They are about 600 bucks
mounted and balanced on the car.

Some have turned these type chassis into GT-1 cars and run the 16x12 to 16x14 wheels.

The rolling chassis above is not the target car, but is the same type. That chassis may be for sale as well,
I think located in Tampa Bay area.

I'll see if I can find and post some engine bay pics.

Thanks for the info. Is this car dry sump also? Fire supression?

Is there a title for it or just a bill or sale...if you could ever make it "road legal" (headlights, turn signal, horn, ect) could it be licensed as a Dodge Intrepid? I am just curious since I am building a Cannonball Run: One Lap of America car and didn't know if someone could license it and essentially drive a stock car in the race?

It has a single stage scavenge pump, with Moroso ASA oil pan, uses the
stock oil pump for pressure. Has a 3 gal dry sump oil tank.

Fire suppression, I think a 10# system with nozzles for driver/engine and
maybe fuel cell. You could call Lee and ask.

No title! pure race car, has SCCA log book though.

I really need something that I could attempt to license. Thanks for all the info though. Looks like a very cool car!

reportedly, Joey Logano licensed and titled his ex ASA car in NC as a homebuilt. Put in another seat, lights, horn, mufflers & cats.

Can't say that I recommend that, however.
