July PDX (Performance Driving Experience) @ Roebling Road
Summer Vacation Challenge Track Trial/ PDX /TT Novice School @ RRR - July 17-18
Registration is open for the second Time Trial Event of the season sponsored by the South Carolina Region SCCA!
This event will be held on the 2.02 road course at Roebling Road Raceway, located in Bloomingdale, Georgia, a short two and a half hour drive from Columbia.
This event includes a PDX (Performance Driving Experience) where anyone, regardless of experience can drive a car on track under the supervision of a qualified instructor. A PDX Solo group is also available for those with prior track experience.
In addition to the Track Trial, which is a SEDiv Points Event, we will also be conducting an SCCA Track Trials Novice School, where you can earn a full Time Trial license that can be used to compete in all Time Trial events, including Hill Climbs.
Volunteers and Instructors are needed for this event. There are also discounted work/drive entries available for those willing to volunteer on one day, and drive in the PDX event on the other.
Please contact at Joe@scsportscar.com with any questions.
I look forward to seeing you at the track!

Hmm, haven't done one of these and since I can't make the NCCC convention this might fit the bill.
Anyone know how the instructor thing works with the SCCA?
I'll send joe an email - I'm looking for others experiences.

Would love to break my new track car in and get my confidence back at RRR, but I don't think Mark will have it ready by then. If you have any "Service Active Handling" expertise, give Mark (Drivinhard) a pm. Would love to get out there.

What did you end up getting??? There are several service bulletins on this for the early C6s, relating to the electrical connector in the steering column, being pulled loose by the telescopic function. Needs to be reconnected and a clip installed. I had this issue on and off for a while, finally took it in to the dealer and the installed the latest service bulliten and I haven had the problem in couple of years now!!!
