Default Best track pads for Brembos

It's time to replace the track pads on my C6 Z06.
I am running 14" brembos on the front and the 13.4" on the rear.
I am looking for hard core track pads and curious what others are running.

Please share what pads you are running and your experiences with them.

I've been using Hawk blue for years. Though vented rotors won't hold up for long. My replacement slotted ones are doing well.

I agree with the above. But....why use the DTC60s on the rear instead of the DTC70s all around???

Brake bias. 70s in the rear may provide too much rear bias.

We are a Hawk distributor and forum vendor.

We also have Ferodo's and the new CL RC6 pads in the Brembo Mono 6 and Mono 4 shape.

Let me know if you need help. 704-824-6030

Carbotech also makes pads for that caliper and you may find them more affordable than similiar level pads with equal or better performance.

I personally don't like what HAWK brake dust does to my rims and paint.

Dust is not a top concern. I am more worried about heading into turn 5 at Road America at around 160 mph and being able to slow down and make the 90 degree turn.

What is the cost on CL RC6 set-up for 14" Brembo GT's. What about the RC8's.

I have a full weight (for now) Z06 that does not see the street anymore. It is a track car.

580rwhp/540rwtq
coilovers
sway bars
Hoosiers R6/A6/R100/R80
Brembo GT 14" 6 pot fronts 13.4" 4 pot rears.

Carbotech RP2 compound brand new! We have been testing this and it is ready. We have kept this quiet, in the next few days there will be a press release. This compound is our new endurace compound similar to the XP12. Give me a call at 216-780-8825

Does anyone have a part number for pads from Hawk, carbotech or anyone else for pads that fits the Brembo 355mm (14") fronts and the 340 mm (13.4") rears.

Just to clarify, it's not the dust that is a big deal, it's getting it off your $70k car if it gets wet. Just trying to share some experience. There were plenty of other brake pads mentioned that will do EXACTLY what you need without the corrosiveness of Hawk's.

But there are die hard Hawk fans despite their drawbacks.

I just reread the car specs...RC8 would be a better choice for this car. I'm awaiting an ETA on these pads from CL...should have an answer very soon. Thanks.

I'm not discounting the affect of the dust on the wheels or the paint. I still wash and wax even though it is a track car.
