Dave Sanders at NJMP today
Here's a couple shots of Forum member Dave Sanders (dsanders) at NJMP Thunderbolt today. Dave was fastest in T-1, in the morning sestion, but I forgot to check the times from the afternoon.
Joe Aquilante's car was there, but Joe wasn't. He was at the Glen for the 6 hour and was coming to NJMP Sunday to run the National.

Here are a couple more of the Corvettes that were running at NJMP today.
This is Chip Ott's T-1 car.
The red #50 T-1 Corvette is driven by Ron Landis.
Harold Musler races this GT-1 Corvette
Gerald Lustig drives the #24 GT-1 Corvette.

Glenn, nice pictures, thanks for posting. It was nice meeting you and talking some corvettes and racing.
I slowed down in the afternoon qualifying and Chip and Ron got a little quicker but I still have the T1 pole. We are grouped with GT1, GT2, GT3, STO and AS. The rumor is the heavy hitters will be here tomorrow and start from the back. Hopefully the A Sedans hold them up for about 20 laps.

Well John made quick work of the A Sedans and was 2 cars behind me by the second lap then filling my rear view mirror by the fourth lap and got me on the fifth lap, and then I tucked in behind him and tried to learn from the best. Damn he can drive. With 4 laps to go 2 GT1 cars got together in turn 1 and blocked most of the track, we went 2 laps under full course caution and then it was checkered 2 laps early because there was no way they were going to get it cleaned up in time. John is lucky it did not go back to green
Race Results:
1. John Heinricy 1:27.8
2. Dave Sanders 1:28.8
3. Joe Aquilante 1:30.5
4. Ron Landis 1:34.3
5. Chip Ott 1:31.0
I was very happy with the results and thanks to Kurt and the Phoenix boys for fixing the electrical gremlin that I was having trouble with before the weekend. I guess it’s time to do the headers…

Dave, thanks for taking the time to speak with me on Saturday and I'm glad you liked the pics. Obviously the rain stayed away, so I ended up vending at the show on LBI, instead of coming back to NJMP.
Sounds like you had fun on Sunday and made a respectable showing! If you could have gotten those 4 laps in, I'm sure you would have gotten Heinricy back!
Again, thanks for speaking with me, I enjoyed it. And if you go with the headers, watch that noise level.
