Default stiffening non-z51 C6 suspension

I had my non-Z51 vette out on track today (road course) for the first time & I quickly discovered how softly sprung that car is. While it seems stiff on the street, it wasnt so much on that track

Would putting Z06 shocks help? Also, what else could I do to help it without breaking the bank?

Not real stiff but better than stock and still ride ok, I have some Z51 springs for sale, asking $149 shipped and they are in great shape

Stiffer sway bars will not make the car ride stiffer but sure help in handling as well.

Better shocks, even the Bilstien lower cost ones are decent.

Those are minimal cost mods, our Vert had the soft setup and just doing the above made a very nice difference.

----------

Next level up you start looking at good coilovers, aftermarket sway bars(or T1), etc...........that is where the money starts getting a bit more serious

You need springs to stiffen it up. Stiffer bars will help also.

Z06 shocks, springs and swaybars would probably be the best bang for the buck. if you are patient, wait until you see someone sell their suspension after upgrading to coilovers/competition bars.

you can wait with the swaybars, but I would do shocks and springs at the same time.
