Default Brake Caiper Seals, Where can I buy some?

I want to rebuild my Brake Calipers using the DRM stainless steel pistons. I need a new set of piston seals. GM only sells it as a kit that includes Pistons, Seals and Dust boots. $90 per caliper.

All I need is the rubber seals. Where can they be found?

Almost any auto parts store has caliper rebuild kits.

I just got my Kit with my DRM setup. ASK them it was like $39 per caliper i think?

You can also try gmpartshouse.com which gets anything GM pretty cheap

you cant get it except as a kit I think.

You arent doing the dust boots at the same time?
OEM calipers dont like dust. Esp after your pad is 50% or more gone

I would buy OEM seals, it is a kit so you will get the boots also. Boots will burn off fast so I would keep then if you sell the car or use them in the winter.

He has a C6Z. The only ones that are around now are from GM @ huge prices. They come with new pistons if that tells you anything....

Nope. Not for the c4/5 at least. The only caliper parts kits I've found have the rubber boots that go on the caliper pins, and the clips for the pads. No seal kits, no caliper boots...

Napa, autozone, pepboys, advance auto, all nada

Thanks, is this c4 or c5? I've got one of each (no, not on the same car )

I just bought some SS calipers from another forum member here, mainly because they came with boots/seals (also I knew I'd want to make this upgrade).

That stock number is for the C5, sorry I'm so used to buying parts for my C5s I didn't even bother to look for the C4.

Just take out your o-rings and find some viton o-ring stock to replace them with. If you can't find any at a hardware or autoparts store, get on McMaster Carr and order the size you need.

I'm lucky in that respect, we have drawers full of o-rings where I work. We go through them like water in the mill.

Exactly! If you asked the the 2010 GS caliper there may not be a rebuild kit for that. So ask instead for a 2008 Z06 caliper rebuild kit. See what happens!
