**LG Motorsorts / GrandAM Mid-Ohio Corvette Corral***
Hey guys,

Hi Guys,
Watkins Glen was good and bad. We qualified 3rd with Eric Lux in the driver's seat.
At the start, Eric moved into 2nd place and held it until the mandatory pit stop. We stopped 9 minutes early and Eric stayed in the car. We only changed left side tires because the left rear was seeing high temps with the hard right hand corners that pound the left rear.
Then, the Power steering started to get notchy and then failed altogether.
In our Prep 1 Corvette we have to use mostly stock parts. The PS Rack has external tubes that sometimes fatigue at the fittings from the racing stresses. We try to protect against that with vibration dampening but it didn't help.
We fixed the Rack in about 5 laps (9 minutes) but the decision was made to "save the car for Mid Ohio" since we were already 5 laps down.
That decision was made by the the team and the Lux family and I agreed with it. We are not in a points chase in this our Development Season, so it made perfect sense to save the car for Mid Ohio. Why burn down a car that was already fast and ready to go to Mid Ohio.
Eric Lux is driving extremely well. He has been the fastest driver on the team all season. He has also won at Mid Ohio so this will be good.
On the down side, Grand AM has taken 130 pounds OFF of the Camaro and 50 pounds off the tube frame Pratt Corvette but they left our Corvette the same, so it might look bad for us at Mid Ohio.
Come to the Corvette Corral at Mid Ohio, where you can see our car and enjoy the race for a great price and park your Corvette in the Corral.
