Video, albeit brief -- Wallyman424 can drive!!!
Here's a brief video from the NCM VIR event from the Red instructor group
I had the 'Chief' Tom Bohlman riding shotgun with me. Tom had no fire suit or Hans device on so 'easy' was the motto for this session.
Wally lined up behind me in grid with his ST2 car. After the outlap I pointed him by to grab some video. Tom and I exchanged chuckles as Wally threw his car around the corners, pretty darn impressive!
Wally had a fender pop loose so my idea of grabbing some cool video came to an abrupt end. He kept pointing me by and I wouldn't take it wanting to grab more footage. Tom noticed the fender loose and gave me the heads up.
Wally I'm bringing some rivets next time so we can play an entire session!
Nice driving!

Man mike, that beast of yours is FAST. Makes it look like my car isnt even moving.
My fender fell off b/c I exceeded the G force rating of the duct tape that was holding it on That has since been replaced with screws.

its built by a guy out in california, kognition is the company. Its built to aircraft spec w/ two aluminum cross tubes and cnc'd ribs along it wrapped in CF.
72" wide and set at 7 inches above roofline w/ adjustability.
and it WORKS. I can flat foot it up the esses, entering at 132ish and exiting at 135+

Any possibility you'll come out to VIR in october? i'm stuck going to a wedding so i'm missing vir in july/ mid o in july.
I think we should try and set up a big st2 race before the end of the year. Maybe october vir and december road atlanta?

Wally... Why don't you try to make it to MidOhio in August. We are trying to get a few ST2 cars to come out and have a good showing.

Also a Great Instructor !
I was lucky enough to have Wally as an instructor for my first HPDE at VIR last week.
I have only been to 3 HPDEs and have had 4 instructors over the course of the those events. I was very impressed with Wally's instructor skills. By far he was the best of the bunch.
Thanks again to Wally for having the patience to stick with me. I know it was trying as I tend to be a bit of a slow learner. Don't think it helps any to be driving a car with far more HP than really make sense to use to learn the basics, but that's what I am stuck with.
His skill as an instructor is clearly based on him knowing what the heck he is doing, and having been in many less than ideal situations yet making the best of them.
Sure hope I get another chance to have Wally in the right seat.
