KUMHO V710 question
whats the difference between rounded shoulder and squared shoulder?
the 305's have a squared shoulder and the 315's have a round shoulder. on the car i'm building 295's is the biggest tire i can get under it on the street in the front but i was going to try and stuff a 305 under it for track days.
i have a idea what the squared shoulder would be so can these be run on the front?
can these be run with a rounded shoulder rear tire? or am i better to just run rounded shoulders all the way around.
also not that is should matter but the rear track tires will be 315's.

We used to run the 710s (rounded shoulders) with 315s all the way around on our C5Z T1 car (CCW 17x10s front and 17x11 rears)
The rounded shoulders are more 'forgiving' than the squared in our opinion. You can lean on them a bit harder in the corners before gravity ceases to exist.

Here's what I found on kumhos site. Makes me glad I'm running the rounded versions.

Cliffnotes:
Rounded - This was done to maximize handling characteristics on vehicles with limited suspension adjustability in regards to negative camber.
Squared - ...the updated profile will require more negative camber for peak performance. The square profile appears to be narrow in width in comparison to the original profile. The key difference, which is not apparent to the naked eye, is the overall footprint width. The updated profile has a wider contact patch than the original.

Rounded shouders = less negative camber...
Works well for a dual purpose alignment for both street & track.
I've been running V710's 315/18's on a C6 Z06 going back to 2007,
with good results.
