LG Motorsports would like to congratulate George Smith on his 1st place win at the Utah AirPower GT Invitational during the ALMS weekend

George took his #13 LG Motorsports 427 powered Corvette C5 in 1st place in turn #1 and never looked back.

Congrats on the win, any Vette win is a win for all of us!

BTW, love the expression of the lady on the right of the podium; wonder what that dialogue was about?

Have a good one,
Mike

George is a super cool guy, built a beautiful car, is very fast behind the wheel and I hope he buys my WC body like we talked about so the car is even sweeter next year

Aaron is fast as well of course, to bad he given a little love tap by one of those "other cars".

George runs the car in a few different series (SCCA and NASA), depending on setup and tires. From what I understand this was an invitational race as a support race for the ALMS series there that weekend.

Very cool they can piggyback something like that with a pro race weekend and also allow older cars and privateers to compete.
Would be nice to see some more of that.

Default Congrats

Thanks Anthony. The dropped spindles certainly have made the car work well. I appreciate all your help and good wishes. I'll see Lou in September!

Default Trophy girl

The trophy girl was part of the race organizer Air Power Racing. Notice the skull and crossbones on the 4th place Porsche in the race photo. My driving suit is older than her so left her alone!

The other gal on the podium is the wife (or girlfriend, not sure) of Loren Beggs, the 2nd place driver. He was busy preparing to drive in the ALMS Porsche Challenge race later in the morning.

That is the wife of the 2nd place Porsche driver. I think her expression is WTF, I was supposed to be holding the bigger trophy!
