Default 295/35/17's on a 8 1/2" Rim ?

I've searched and find only info for Z06's.

I'm currently using 275/40/17 A6 Hoosiers on the front of my non-Z06 '02 Targa for autocross. They working pretty well but I'm thinking about 295/35/17 A6 Hoosiers for the front. I have 315/30/18's on the rear.

Will they fit and work okay on a 8 1/2" rim? Hoosier's recommended rim size is 9.5" to 11"

Thanks

TEX

I'd be a little worried with 275's on that rim.
The 295 I'd want at least a 9.5" wide rim

A 295 is the max for a 9.5" wheel.

It will fit but you wont gain much over the 275 because the tire patch wont be right on the 8.5" wheel.

Either stick with the 275 or get a 9.5" rim.

I'm in AS can't do that.

Used to stick 285/30/18's on a 8" rim on the RX8 and they worked great.

Guess I'd better stick with the 275's.

Thanks

Lots of things can be made to fit... But does it work better.

I found 245s to work just fine on my RX-8.

I like the Kumho sizes for the AS C5, 275 front 305 rear.
