Need track-biased alignment/ride height set - NC
Hello,
Anyone know of a good shop that can do track focused alignments around Fayetteville/Cameron? I'd like the ride height set as well, and maybe corner weighted. Driving to Raleigh is about as far as i'd like to go.
Thanks,
Jon

I'm in the same boat. We have access to a rack on Woodwinds Industrial Court and have done a few so far but we need help understanding ride height. The factory tool sets lower A arm angle but we don't have that so we are measuring off the frame rails.
We need David to chime in.

I could make a road trip with scales possibly. Honestly, in a c5z06 on stock springs, I lower as far as the fronts will go without cutting, match that in the rear, then use the scales to adjust from there.

T1 springs over here.
Mr Bohlman suggested 4.75 rear/4.25 front measured from right by the jack points.
I put a street alignment back on it so my tires wouldn't wear so fast - tramlining all over and terrible turn in
We have 2 cars here we want done - mine and Roman's.

You might want to talk to Performance Chassis in Cary. I haven't used them yet but will in the near future. I've spoken with Mark Cooper the owner and he sounds like he knows his stuff.

I'm running stock springs for now. I have been debating on whether or not to go with T1 springs/shocks, or go with coil-overs. Right now it's lowered about as much as I think it needs to go for a street car, if it needs to come up some that's fine by me.
I've got a track tour at the NCCAR track tomorrow, and hopefully it's tracking straight after putting on my T1 bars today.

??? Not possible.
factory spec is 76mm rake when measuring from the bottom of the ball joint to the center of the lower control arm front bolt.
Front is 45mm and rear is 121mm.
I use 20mm and 90mm, I believe the T1 spec is 14mm and 84mm.

I wish I could find something easier to measure since I don't have a 4-post lift and it is a PAIN to make the measurements without one.

[QUOTE=z060ntrack;1575252762]14mm front height and 84mm is rear height but this has no direct relationship to any frame measurements since the tire size will change any of those measurements. These measurments are directly related to the geometery of the suspension.

[QUOTE=KNSBrakes;1575253468]OK I see we have some another project in front of us … hopefully this will be more fun and less stressful than changing rear main seal Boy I’m glad it’s done.
