Default rear hard brake line by exhast drivers side rubbed through

my exhaust rubbed a hole in one of the lines that runs from front to rear., was fun finding out at brainered this weekend that a message came up "check brake fluid"

i come in and way low on srf. bottom of the cradle looked like it had some fluid on it.

looks like it runs under the heatshield

just curious if anyone knows for sure.

going to be a fun replacement piece i am sure

There is a disconnect above the transmission. I just swapped the same line for a buddy a couple of weeks ago. Pretty easy with a lift.

what year vette? i got a c6z

it is the rear most line out of the 2, it looks like the tab that is supposed to hold it into the body had melted allowing it to rub against the over the axle pipe, this was on the driver side.

This was on a C5Z.
Not sure if the C6 is the same.

My aftermarket headers rubbed thru my rear brake hardline while on road trips (at different times) on both my 69 and my 63. Thank god for dual mastercylinders!!!
