Nice, good job boys!!

Love that track. TONS of run off (like an F1 course) to let it hang out. European tracks are so much nicer than the US tracks.

Yup. For fun (and i repeat FOR FUN), i've been reading about intake runner length. There are actually a lot of strange options available for lsx motors out there.

I concur However, isn't that a Victor Jr (tarrantula type) individual runner manifold (intended for a carb) developed for NASCAR Daytona type tracks. Kinsler has forgotten more about Electronic FI than most will ever know.

It is a GMPP manifold for carb or FI.

Looks like there ought to be some way to shoe-horn that intake/TB under my hood.

Now then one can only image what the possibilities would be for the GT1 C5R/C6R LS7 if they would have been allowed to run unrestricted. Just think of the fun it would have been to watch an unrestricted GT1 C5R/C6R run down the long straights of LeMans with Ferrari and Austin V12s also unrestricted. Did Katech ever play around with unrestricted set ups or just make by the rule book, no time to play? Thanks for sharing.

No, we have not. Parts were designed around the restrictor. Once a restrictor goes sonic you're not going to get any more air and therefore no more power. Because of this, cylinder head ports and intake runners were designed to maximize torque. Simply removing the restrictor will not yield huge power increases. If you ran a different cylinder head and intake manifold it would, but the bottom end was designed to be lightweight and durable at 580hp so the whole engine would need to be re-tested for durability at higher power levels.

if the motor was developed for maximun TQ, why did you use the square LS7 type head over a cathedrial port? every test ive seen still shows that type as making more mid range TQ
