Front Spring Adjuster Pad Ruined - Fix?
The hard rubber pad on the end of the front spring adjusters on my C6 Z06 are deteriorated and deformed on both sides. This is the adjuster threaded through the end of the spring used to adjust ride height.
They deteriorated/distorted enough to cause the ride height to lower.
GM doesn't sell replacements. You need to buy the entire spring. Any ideas on replacements or fixes? Are the rubber pads really needed? Should I just reset the adjusters to compensate for the ruined pads?
I think I remember reading of people cutting the pads off to get their cars to ride lower? If so this sugests they really aren't needed.
Also, car is under warranty but I doubt they would be covered?
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

You can purchase replacements - I know I bought a replacment pair for the C5 front spring years ago. It used delrin pads instead of rubber I believe.
*edit*
I bought then from Gary at HardBAr USA.

Hardbar Spring End kit for C5/C6/C6 Z06 $65.00

This kit is a replacement for the unavailable adjusters on the ends of your stock spring. It uses stainless steel threads so it will not “rust weld” itself in place like the stock pieces, and has CNC machined Delrin pads. Please specify front or rear for C6's.
