Noisy Corbeau Seats
Not a high tech issue, but have just a few miles on Corbeau race seats in my C5, and the cracking and snapping that accompanies g-loading is really getting annoying. The seats are installed using Corbeau's bottom mount sliders, and the slider mechanism itself seems tight and solid.
Any suggestions for a fix?

I don't have a fix, but I had the same issues with a set of Sparco's (fiberglass) and this time around I got a steel tube frame seat. Strong as an ox, you can lean all your pressure getting in and out and it is still lighter than OEM seat.
A lot of folks like Kirky (aluminum seat) just for this reason.

Former Vendor
I have sat it, owned, tested, etc many seats and my all time favorites are Racetech, I am putting the 1000's I have had in 2 other cars into the C6 now, never had one peep of noise from them in 5 years of use (very low use but used on the track, solo, mountain runs, etc....on sticky tires)
They are far more comfortable than other seats, all of them, I have tried but part of that could be my particular body type???

If you look on the back of the seat towards the top, you'll see that there is a bolt and mounting hole. This is to attach a seat brace (like this one: http://www.ioportracing.com/Merchant...tegory_Code=IH). The additional bracing should stop the flexing, which will in turn stop the noises. Of course you need a roll cage/roll bar/harness bar to implement this solution.

often the bolts that hold the seat to the mounting bracket get loose and cause some flex/noise. Make sure they are tight...Loctite helps but doesn't prevent the bolts from backing out.
