First trip to the track
So i finally made my first trip to a track with the vet. I went up to Buttonwillow with some friends and had a blast, has to be the best thing i have ever done with the car. I can now see why you guys are hooked on tracking your cars. Here are a couple of pics
Stocking my pray (just thought cool pic)
Definitely have to change some things before the next track day but i will be heading back out for sure

That must be one of the few places where they still allow convertibles.

For anyone that knows the track i ran a 2.12 which isnt bad but i need to upgrade my rear brakes and get me some sticky tires. I dont think i will do a lot of things to the car though for the pure fact it is a convertible.
I did have to go out for 2 sessions with an instructor but then i got to go out on my own. It was with a company called Speed Ventures (they do the corvette challenge) Good group of people.
There were all types of cars out there including a gentleman hitting the track with his ZR1 for the second time and a ZO6 racer from northern california who unfortunately toasted his motor the day before.

Don't get sticky tires until you can handle high speed on street tires. With street tires you know when they are ready to let go, with sticky tires they hold or don't hold no in between

Drifting
More like sticky tires DON'T HOLD....then get warmed-up after 2+ miles then stick like crazy or break loose!!!
That's why NASCAR has so many pace laps and F1 uses tire blankets

I turned a 2:17.0 in this $500 POS on street tires with only around 100 rwhp . Got to pass a new lambo, bmw M3, and a couple other cars in the black group.

We lost the left front wheel bearing in the afternoon. We will be racing it there on Dec. 4/5th.

Melting Slicks
Well, it was his 1st trip to BRP and he was going to drive his C6Z there all weekend to learn the track for our upcoming race. Unfortunately the engine blew on his 1st lap . He had it pumped up to 600 rwhp or something and has been drag racing and auto-xing it a lot along with his wife. He'll be back soon with a better than stock LS7. He got to drive the lemon a couple sessions and the ZR1 on Sunday afternoon .

Red... I met Rich and talked with him for a little bit, a very cool guy. I saw your lemons car and that thing is awesome.
Dirty... i will definitely think about running it next season. I am planning on heading up to streets of willow on the 6th as long as i get my brakes taken care of.
