Default Tire?

I have a GS and I just put a supercharger on. I am looking for some good tires for the track and street. From what I understand the Toyo 888r and nitto do not fit on the larger rear tire. Please give some recomendations on tires the will fit all around

Kumho XS

I have a 09 vette with supercharger and love them both for track and daily driving. You can' t beat the price either. The Toyo R888 are a step up from the Kumhos but most people would not run them for daily driving. Great track tire but I think the wear life would brutal for daily driving. The Kumho XS are a step up for the runflats. I guess it comes down to your tracking experience....I ran year on runflats and then two years on the kumho XS...this last year I started hooiser R6's.

Do you have the ZO6? Or the larger rear tires? I was told The 888 will not fit on the larger rear tire.

After a lot of thought. I realized I would only be able to autocross a couple of times a year. I have no intentions of doing it on a competitive basis. So I decided to build the car for what I'm going to do the most. It's going to be a semi-daily driver designed to have fun.

That being said, I would love to come down this weekend. However since the car is not going to be tuned until Wednesday I don't think it would be a good idea for me to drive that far and autocross with no seat time. I think I will wait until next month. I am more worried about possible breakage. I want to make sure everything is tight and have a little confidence in the car before I begin beating on it

I will have to think about it. If I feel comfortable that my car will not break, then I will come down

So you like the kumho better than the Hoosiers?

No...the Hoosiers are in a totally different class of rubber. But for street/track tire I loved the kumho XS. Hoosiers R6's as you know are ALOT stickier tire..I use them as my dedicated track tire on stock rims..

I have never used R888's but I have friends that run them on C6's with 18' wheels... front and back. I don't think there is a workable tire for your stock rims..

I use my stock wheels for both the kumho XS and the hoosier R6's.

I have a 2009 C6 Z51...so the wheels are not the same as yours..
