Default if you had to choose... RA or Barber?

Just wanted to say I love the forum...long time reader..1st time poster...

Sorry for the idiot humor.. that's just how I roll..

Anyway, I am looking at trackdays next year and I have some tracks on the list... but I am also looking at either Road Atlanta or Barber Motorsports Park.

I may not be able to afford to do both next year, and I thought about doing 1 day at each, but I really like the 2 day events. Although, I am not opposed to doing 1 day events. Just saying I would prefer a 2 day event at either of these.

So if you had to choose, which one would you choose.. Barber or RA?

Given that you are in Georgia, you have two great choices. VIR, first......further for you but worth the drive and RA second. Similar tracks in many ways and both are fun to run.

Absolutely no comparison! Road Atlanta is one of the best tracks in North America....period!
Barber is basically a motorcycle track. Its more fun in a 'momentum" car than in a Corvette.
Either way......you'll have fun at either of them.

RA!!!! and hold on.

Barber is certainly a "must do" track though.

I live 3 hrs from RA and 2 1/2 from VIR - best of both worlds. I love both tracks and they are similar except: there is only a few places at VIR where walls come in to play. They have plenty of runoff everywhere. RA has gravel and a lot of close walls. Never done Barber, but can't imagine it being better than RA. Don't see how you could go wrong as long as you make it through the day. Good Luck.

BTW - AX/RR section on the forum is best. No issues with flaming or attitudes. Just racers who are willing to share and help. Most have been there done that long before me. People disagree, but it never gets out of hand. I live here.

Rd Atlanta and VIR absolutely for big cars and if you get the chance add Mid Ohio someday.
