Tire Combination Question
Hey guys, I'm looking to get some advise on an optimum street tire setup for a standard C6. I have pretty much decided on getting the CCW C140's, so I'm looking for what tires will work.
I use the car as my dd, but don't drive too many miles a day. I plan on doing a few trackdays a year, and it seems like the rear grip is the main issue I can see after owning the car for a little over a year. But I haven't done any trackdays yet...
So far I'm thinking of getting 18x11 for the rear, and run the 305/35/18 Nitto 555R2.
Up front I'm thinking of running the NT05 275/35/18 on a 18x10, I'm running the 245/40/18 right now. And I find they have plenty of fr. grip for the street with good wear characteristics.
It's just my rear NT05's leave something to be desired in both straight line and side grip for street driving. Not bad, but I think it could be better.
I'm open to suggestions

I have 18x10+18x11 C140s and run 275/35r18+305/35r18 Toyo R888s on my C6. The combination works well and plays nicely with the computers and works well. You'll have plenty of rear grip if you get an alignment and set rake/ride height.
