Never seize front lowering bolts C5Z?
Gents: Middle of changing out to Poly Bushings on the front right now.
Everything is apart and I am ready to start putting it back together.
My front lowering bolts (stock Z06 leaf springs) were a little seized up on the C5Z.
I got them all loosened up and working good again.
Is it ok to never seize the threads on these?
The car is a DD so it sees the rain/junk.

Part of the problem is that the threads are getting pounded by the alternating loading. While Neversieze is a good idea I don't know for sure if it will solve the problem. I don't think that there is room for a double nut belowthe spring. If there is then that would be the way to do it. then the lower nut threads would see the alternating load and the threads in the spring would not. A second nut on top of the spring to act as jam nut and that would be better since it would stop the threaded insert from seeing cyclic loading, but it wouldn't be as good as a nut on the bottom.
I think I'll use never sieze the next time I have it apart, but a nut on top would be a good idea too.

You'd have to cut the bushing down to go with a double nut I suspect.
But the previous owner had the front lowered as far as you could go with the stock bushing, so I am not sure where the factory ride height is in relation to the threads/height of the lowering bolt.
As part of my poly bushing/shock/ball joint/sway bar upgrade, I am raising the car back up to a slight drop from factory heights.
I am still fitting the lower control arms, I'll take a look under the spring and see what's there.
I didn't have any nuts on the top of the lowering bolts.
There might at some point have been a c-clip of some form at the top of the bolt, but I think they are long gone.
Clearly the previous owner was getting on the drivers side one pretty good with a wrench.
While the head is not stripped, it had some abuse.
There's no way that bad boy would have moved without a impact on it today.
In fact I couldn't get it to budge with the 1/2" electric impact (I think it torque's to approx 150 ft lbs), I had to pull out the pneumatic that goes up to 300 ft lbs.
This is after sitting for a night with liquid wrench on it.
