Grand Am Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona
I have seen a lot of information on the new NASCAR track and pit lane. Anyone seen tire testing results or reviews of the new road course surface. (I am assuming that they repaved the the road course as well, althought I haven't seen any mention of it.
Grand Am is running a new tire this year right? Be interested to see how a new surface and the normal seasonal weather issues effect this years contest.

From Hurley:
"The banking was very smooth, with no bumps, and it's got tons of grip, so you can run anywhere you want up there no matter what kind of car you are in," said Haywood, a five-time overall winner of the Rolex 24. "The transition from the infield up onto the banking was really nice, with no big transition between the two pavements. I think the repaved speedway will be a huge benefit."

Race Director
On Dec. 17th, Hurley Haywood tested the Brumos Porsche GT3 and Paul Edwards drove the Spirit of Daytona Chevrolet Coyote in a 3 hour test for Rolex cars. Later in the day, Venturini Motorsports tested their ARCA cars on the banking.
MRN (the Motor Racing Network) has a brief article on their website, www.motorracingnetwork.com. Find the article by clicking on Series and then clicking on Grand Am. Sorry, for some reason I wasn't able to attach the link.

I hear the "Roar before the 24" will be streamed online by Speedtv.com
Update: I think either I misheard, or they had wires crossed, but I see the NASCAR practice will be webcast, and nothing about the Roar.
