There're a bunch of ways to install it depending on what you order and what you want. You can use adhesive like the stock windows, or fasteners. On some vehicles you can replace the entire `frame' or hatch with just the polycarb to save even more weight... not useful to your FRC, I don't think...

you can bolt it in with SS countersunk flat heads and counter suck conical washers.. My rear hatch is 3/16" on my coupe which is a lot bigger than you Z

These things are usually very expensive 350$ or more
I made my own. $83 and that was for a coupe. Z06 would be less.
Before I removed the rear glass I made a template using butcher paper.
Then went to my favorite hardware store and bought a sheet of 3mm/1/8" Lexan and cut it out from my template with a jig saw.
As John said, do a little trimming and it's a perfect fit.
I riveted mine in. Lighter than using any other type of fastener.

I ordered one from Racing Shields. The company "DavidFarmer" recommended. 1/8" cut to fit. They were very helpful on the phone. Should have it in a couple of weeks. I'll let you guys know what happens.
thanks,

how hard is it to heat/bend lexan???? I've never tried it. I know the Shields winshields can be purchased with chip and fog protection, but for the rear who cares.

Bump... the idea of getting a sheet of lexan for the rear from the hardware store and cutting it to fit has my attention. When installing with a rivet is there any worry about cracking the plastic? Any tips?
