Default SCDA Versus Nasa April HPDE @ Limerock

Hi All -

A couple of friends and I are trying to decide between Nasa and SCDA in April, both at Limerock. We've done several events, but they are all with SCDA. Other than costs, can anyone let us know the difference between the way they run their events? Track time, food, instructors, people, etc.

Thanks Very Much!!!!!

I am an instructor for NASA NE, so I'm a bit biased, will be there on 4/2. Great bunch of people, very helpful, very safe. Probably 4-5 sessions on track (20mins).

With that said, I've never done an event with SCDA but have only heard good things.

You've never done NASA/PDA, so give 'em a try...you might like the group and have another organization with which to go to the track.

Be good,
TomK

I run with both the only real difference is cost and who gets the time slot that is the most convenient for you. A lot of the instructors work with both clubs. The track time is the same.

I've been running with both for years, both great organizations.
Track time is approx the same for both.

Both of these events are full day, and should be a blast.
Too bad I can't run there anymore because of the decibel limit.

It may be cold there in the early morning.... HP tires don't like cold tracks. I've hit low 30's even in April.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I think we'll give Nasa a shot, so we have two groups we are familar with. I suppose there is no such thing as too much track time.

Call and ask both clubs how many cars they will allow in each run group for that track. I am just saying...some clubs tend to way overbook...won't name names.
