Default Wheels for HPDE / TT

I am starting to put the final touches on 2004 Z06 for NASA HPDE's & TT in Midwest / Great Lakes region. I am wanting a 2nd set of wheels for track tires, so my question is what should I be looking for? I am wanting to run the same size wheel on all four corners in 18", will this be a major problem? Also, what wheel is available under 20lbs that will work without breaking the bank?

stock OEM Rears 18x10.5. to get a lighter wheel you'd need to spend a ton of $$

What about running the front 17 x 9.5s w/ 275/40-17s on all four corners?

For more neutral handling, you want a wider tire on the rear. Narrow 275's front and rear and the car will be too easy to bring the rear around. Stock Z06 Speedlines are a great choice and regularly available here for a very reasonable $. I run 295/17 on the front and 315/18 rear on stock wheels with excellent results. Using stock rear 18's all the way around with 305 front and 315 rear is also a very good combination.

Since I will be running Hoosier A6's I need to stay in the 275 size to avoid moving up to TTS in NASA

The car handles pretty good on 275s sq. I've run 17s all around never 18s

In a perfect world I'd prefer the 17" sidewall, but I'd rather have the wheel width. The car is a bit more stable on the 10.5"

I have run 43's at CMP on 9.5's with an almost stock car (T1 bars), stock weight, so they do ok.

& I've run 33s at Mid Ohio on 9.5" so you aren't really giving up much

Granted I have a C4 but I plan on running 275s all around this year on C6Z 18x9.5 front wheels.
