Hey guys,
Don't see this every day around here (even though I grew up with it), measuered 7" at the house and between 4-5.5" here at the shop today.
Just in time for the Super Bowl!

Hey Anthony, did you see the ariel view of the Corvette stuck on the exit ramp shown earlier on Channel 5? What were they thinking In fact, what were ANY of these people out sliding around in the DFW area today thinking when they left home?

You know...I gave mine away when I moved down here from Indiana....the neighbors moved here from Colorado by my house so we all laugh about it. Everyone else is going nuts.

I did see that. I didn't have any problem with the Z0 last year when we got hit, but I've driven in it before. Biggest issue this year is the 1-2" of ice on the road...I think the snow made it easier to drive on.

One of my friends once told me "If the ground shakes or Home Depot sells snowblowers, I'm not going to live there".

Anthony,
That is nothing. My brother and I flew from Tucson to Nashville the middle of January, 2007. Weather was perfect for my Museum Delivery.
The next day, we headed West on I 40/I 30. That evening, we stopped just east of Dallas. Coming in to the Dallas area we watched the outside temp guage drop 31 degrees in 18 minutes. When we got up the next morning, the temp was 30 degrees but it was raining like crazy. We headed out and before we even got to Abiline, it all froze. We limped the car into a parking lot to eat breakfast and I swear, I couldn't hardly stand up. At one point I had to stop trying to walk and stand still but I started sliding as soon as a little wind blew. We creeped West for about 480 miles and I only got squirrely once when I tried to change lanes on a bridge. Between Abiline and our friends house in Midland, we saw 14 badly wrecked semi's. All were coming east and left good weather to suddenly hit the frozen rain. When we parked the car in the garage in Midland I had 6 inch ice sicles hanging from my outside mirrors but instead of hanging down, they were pointing straight back. In the morning, we couldn't get up the on ramps to the cross-town freeway so we had to drive the surface streets to the west of town to find an on ramp that wasn't up hill. What a nightmare! I must admit, though, after all I had read about the Z, it was much more controllable than I expected. I would love to pay you guys a visit if you can guarantee no freezing rain
