I just watched "Love the Beast" for the first time. Really great car guy documentary. Anyway...

From 019:47 to 020:36(when he blows the engine in his 911), he is trailed by a C5 race car. Looks like a FRC/Z06, has a custom hood/nose with a center intake ala Viper(looks like a SRT4 Neon air scoop). Car is orange and I think it's running a number 18. They are on track in Melbourne. I have been unsuccessful in my internet and forum searching to find more on this car.

Anyone know any more on this C5 so far from home?

Same color, wrong generation. Car in movie was clearly a C5, with a World Challenge type vented hood(Radiator vented up thru hood), but an air intake grafted into the nose. The nose definitely had C5 turn signals, but a splitter had been installed to make the car a mouth breather, versus a bottom feeder like mine. I believe the footage could have been shot anytime from 2005-2008. Movie was released in AU in early 2009.
