That looks like one serious machine! Nice setup! Are those towhooks under the rear cradle?

Awesome ride im sure it has lots of power and handles like its on rails.

However, the body kit (more so the side skirts) is/are ugly. Completely Kills the factory sexyness of the C5. I like the spoiler though.

Hey Guys! Thanks!

sleeper02Z06 They are towhooks, but in my case, I am using them to tie the car down in the trailer. We are making tow hooks for it right now.

MVP'S ZO6 That's cool. To each thier own. The body was done by Specter Werkes in 2000, and is all new parts except for the roof and trunk lid. Wider, lower and meaner.

Nice job but I like the ACP side skirts where the screen is moulded in behind the glass instead of aluminum plate added in front. Nice wheels made in the USA

They are nice, but wouldn't work with this body.

They were made by Callaway for the C12. They called it a C.O.I.L System or something like that. I don't remember what that stood for. The springs on the shock is not a very high rate. Not nearly high enough to support the car. They do work well.

Did you make those or did you buy them? I really want to do something like that front and rear on my C5Z to make tie-down in the trailer much easier.

Thanks!

I am not a forum vendor. Mods if you have an issue, please do what you need to.

They are Moroso tow loops, that we modified to bolt to the car in the front and rear cradles. We put it up on Pit Pal ramps in the front for more clearance, and now straping it down takes no time.

front

rear

Very very cool! Thanks for the reply! I'll be doing something like that to make hook-up in my trailer much faster. Right now I'm using straps w/ T-hooks to go into the factory frame tie-down locations. However, in my enclosed trailer the front ones are next to the wheel-wells of the trailer so it is super awkward to lay on the wheel-well, next to the car, and fish around to get the T in. The rear is easier, but still involves laying on the floor of the trailer squeezed between the trailer wall and the rear wheel and you end up with a shirt covered in brake dust of the rear wheels.
