Default Videos from this past NASA VIR weekend.

Ok, I've got a few videos to share. First one done cooking is the 1:59.9 lap.

http://www.vimeo.com/20208440

Update #1:

This is my race video from Saturday. I've got a pretty sweet pass from 4th to 1st in T1 after being dominated by a stockcar and a porvette.
http://www.vimeo.com/20244301

This is Justin Mathews (blue PTA/TTA subaru) incar video, you can see the T1 pass very nicely from his car.
http://vimeo.com/20230813

In either video you can see the smoke screen my car was leaving in right handers.

I'll update this post as the rest of them finish.

Nice job Wally!

Great example on how to keep on the gas or the brake with very little coasting. Can't wait to film you again this year providing you keep your quarter panel on this time!

Great lap Wally! Is that a TTS record or does the RAFT crew have it? If it's not the record it's got to be damn close. 1:59 is flying. Congrats.

Probably in James' car. You and James are going to have a heck of a race at Nats. this year - not to mention other fast ST2/TTS cars that'll be there too. Going to be a good show.

Nice lap Wally. You probably felt the same as I felt when I went 2.04 flat as a personal best. It's a great feeling to get a personal win! It's interesting to watch your vid and my vid back to back, similar power but way different drivetrains, gearing and the aero. I wonder if a computer savvy individual could take both of our vids and sync them side by side just before crossing the start finish to really see what and where its getting done. Up until the uphill esses it seems close, then it's a slaughter!! Nice run again bud!

That was a blast to watch! I almost came out of my seat as I could feel the car getting light towards the end of the esses.

Default I'm confused................

In the February Car & Driver they posted their Lightning Lap results for 2010. It shows the lap distance as being 4.1 miles - with a Z06 lapping the track at 2.53 minutes.
Where's the change in the track - or is Wally the world's best?

Very nice driving Wally - that's about as close to a 11/10th's lap I've seen!

Maybe the direct oil injection helped

Did reconnecting your plumbing get rid of the oil?

wild to see the non aero 40/50 mph corners the speed the same as a non aero C5Z, and the 120 mph bits 15 mph faster

I am 5 mph faster getting into the esses and 15 mph slower at the top, and I'm sliding to the outside like I'm on marbles

pretty awesome, love listening to the ratio's in that box

What about straightaway speeds?
I think my boat anchor LS1 and crap box MN6 is faster on the back stretch than Wally's car.

I can't get over how fast Wally's car is through T3.
