CVCC Pocono HPDE - Instructor Needs Student
The Cumberland Valley Corvette Club is running and HPDE on April 16 & 17 at Pocono North Course. I will be instructing. If anyone is coming or thinking of coming as a student/beginner let me know. If you are new to this kind of event, I have been doing this one for about five years and can fill you in.
The CVCC policy for instructors is that they try to bring a student.

You guys are right! There winds up being way more instructors than students. If an instructor "brings" a student (or has a student sign up for the event), then it takes the pressure off the event organizer.

Rich - I will be there in the Intermediate group and would appreciate some coaching if you have the time (I've done Pocono North many times but you can never get enough instruction). Brad.

Answers to some questions:
The event is a two day event: Check-in and tech Friday night; track opens at 7AM on Saturday and Sunday. There are 4 -20 minutes sessions each day. that's about 160 miles of track time. Students have instructors ride in the right seat and also attend classroom sessions. Inaddition to the beginners, there also are are intermediate and advanced groups. Cost for the weekend is $325, $300, and $275, respectively. What happens on Sunday, is that the run groups thin out, and are combines so you may find on Sunday you may get an extar one or two runs in. Actually, Dave Walter with the CVCC is the event organizer. Contact Dave for an application. If you wish me to mail you an application send me an email.
Only instructors can take passengers. If a student, I highly recommend riding with your instructor sometime on Saturday.
In my experience, a student usually gets "sign-off" on Sunday morning the can solo.
My primary suggestion is to bleed your brakes and put in fresh fluid and put on fresh pads. (I've been using ATE Blue and Carbotech XP8s. I run the 8's because I autox the car too.)
