Best way to do Sebring?
Looks like I may be going for the first time and would like some info. I'm looking for the best overall experience with access to the cars and viewing the race? I already have lodging worked out, but haven't purchased tickets.
It looks like a multi-day super ticket provides paddock access; how does the super ticket compare to the Gurney or Fangio Terraces or the Club Sebring Pit Box tickets?
Is will call a bitch, should I get tickets now, or get them at the gate?
Any info or recommendations are appreciated.

Former co-worker got the seats above the pit boxes one year, and he said he wouldn't do it again. I told him to just go walk the track, and see things from different areas, so he decided to, and never went back to his pit box seats.
Personally, I've only ever gotten the super ticket, and walk the track, I enjoyed the change of view, and seeing different aspects of the race. you also get to take in all the infield sites that make Sebring unique.

I am going this year again. The coral parking is like 150$, and all you want to see is the race im sure. just get a Sat ticket. The pits where they work on the cars is where everyone can walk by. I about got ran over last year when they fixed the c6r after the pit stop incident. You wont want to be there anyway, you will want to see the race. I really like the lemans curve because you see them hammer it at full throttle and can hear all the shifts as they go up to top speed. The second best (mnost action) is the hairpin. always see slide outs, wrecks, and very cool to watch at night, as you are close to the cars to see the brakes and fire belches from the exhaust

Well, IMOE the best plan is by motorcoach, paddock pass and golf cart rental. Problem is one must make plans months beforehand to be assured of getting everything arranged. Hey, you asked...
In any event, corners you want to make sure to take in are Turn 1 looking back down the start/finish straight, the "safety pin" (bobbed-off version of the old hairpin), Cunningham/Collier, and LeMans. The brake zone/entry into 17 is spectacular, but in past not an easy view to obtain without proper credentials.
Don't forget the sunblock. Yes, departing the track after the race is usually very hectic. Oh, and don't be surprised to see Lady Godiva and Elvis in attendance. Enjoy!

We bring my buddies 5th wheel and get a spot midway between 1 and 2, but I happen to be lucky. I think rather than a box, your best bet is to bring a hat, chair and sunscreen. There are lots of great general viewing areas around the track. You will be walking quite a bit, so keep that in mind. If you happen to be around 1 & 2 and hear a few loud, drunk bastards, you are welcome to stop in for a beer!
